Introduction

Hello everyone! I’m Sameera from ThoughINAKA, and I have some exciting news to share.

ThoughINAKA is thrilled to announce that the insightful photographer Seido Kino, who has been closely collaborating with ThoughINAKA for quite some time now, will be showcasing his latest work, “x elements/Growth,” at the Horikawa Oike Gallery near Nijo Castle in Kyoto. This exhibition is part of the KG+ SELECT, a satellite event of the KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival.

The exhibition will run from April 13th (Saturday) to May 12th (Sunday), with the gallery closed on Mondays. For more information about the exhibition, please visit the official KG+ website.

We’ve also got a special talk event lined up for April 27th (Saturday), from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Horikawa Oike Gallery. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be joining Seido Kino and Kei Nakayama, the CEO of ROOTS, as a speaker for this event. Together, we’ll delve into the theme of “Connecting Travelers and Local Communities.”

Some of Seido Kino’s work showcases photographs from his five-year exploration of Okuizumo, Shimane Prefecture, a region that ThoughINAKA is based in. We extend a warm invitation to everyone in and around Kyoto, as well as visitors to the city, to come and experience this unique exhibition and special talk event. You’ll have the opportunity to hear captivating stories about photography and travel, all while feeling connected to local communities.

We can’t wait to meet you all there!
