We are overjoyed to share the beautiful story of a traditional Japanese wedding ceremony we had the honor of organizing for Niv Nissim and Aviv Grinberg, in collaboration with Primrose Garden Daisen and Misstokyo

Held in the serene Nawa Shrine in Daisen, Tottori, the ceremony was a touching celebration of love and culture. Dressed in exquisite kimonos and sheltered under a vibrant red umbrella, Niv and Aviv were guided through ancient Shinto rituals, accompanied by the sacred sounds of traditional Japanese music. The couple’s walk down the shrine path (sando) was truly magical, embodying the authenticity and beauty of Japanese wedding customs.

The day continued with a hands-on mochi pounding experience at Mikuri, a beautifully renovated kominka in Mikuriya. There, the couple not only enjoyed the joy of making mochi but also tasted the fresh, handmade rice cakes, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. A specially crafted course meal by a local chef and a traditional tea ceremony concluded the event, offering a moment of peaceful reflection and connection with Japan’s rich cultural heritage.

Though it was a challenging task to arrange such a meaningful ceremony for international guests, the warm words of Niv and Aviv touched us deeply. Despite being far from their family and friends, they felt embraced by the local community, calling the staff their “family.” This is the kind of atmosphere we strive to create at ThoughINAKA—one of warmth, inclusivity, and connection.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Niv, Aviv, Primrose Garden Daisen, and Misstokyo for making this event possible. Their support and trust allow us to bring meaningful, authentic experiences to life.

Let’s continue to create unforgettable memories and celebrate love in all its forms.
