Day1 11:00 a.m. Meet at Kaneyoshiya rental space and kitchen
noon Enjoy Sri Lankan curry for lunch
1:00 p.m. Introduction session
2:00 p.m. Stroll through Okuizumo, exploring the area
5:00 p.m. Check-in at Tsukaru and Onsen time
7:00 p.m. Dinner and exchange stories with fellow members
Day2 8:00 a.m. Breakfast
10:00 a.m. Start the climb up Mount Sentsu
Enjoy Nita rice onigiri lunch at the mountain top
1:30 p.m. Visit local specialty shops for shopping
2:30 p.m. Final session with Sri Lankan tea

    This tour is open to all individuals over 20 years of age interested in local exploration, community interaction, and cross-cultural communication. Whether you’re a local resident or a visitor, everyone is welcome to join.

  • Maximum number of participants

    The maximum number of participants may vary depending on the activity. We will allocate accommodation slots on first-come,first-served basis. Accommodation is limited to 10 people due to room availability.

  • Language

    The tour will be conducted in both Japanese and English, catering to participants who wish to communicate in either language. We encourage language exchange and welcome participants looking to practice and improve their Japanese or English skills.

  • Transportaion

    Please be aware that this tour does not provide transportation to the meeting point or within the tour itself. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation. However, we understand that not everyone may have access to a vehicle. Therefore, we encourage tour members to connect with each other to organize carpooling. Once connected, participants can discuss and coordinate transportation arrangements among themselves.

    TSUKARU
    During the tour, accommodation will be provided at Tsukaru boutique guest house. Please note that you will be required to share a room with a tour member of the same gender. If you have any specific preferences or requirements regarding room sharing, please inform us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Orientation

On April 20th at 8:00 PM, we will host a brief orientation session where we will address transportation concerns and facilitate connections among participants. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the tour.

Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements: This tour involves a moderate level of physical activity, particularly during the mountain hike component. Participants should be in good health and able to endure a 1.5-hour ascent up a 1143-meter mountain. It’s essential to wear appropriate footwear and clothing for hiking, and participants should be prepared for changes in weather conditions. If you have any concerns about your physical ability to participate, please consult with us before booking the tour.

Cancellation Policy for “ThoughINAKA” [INAKA NO ARUKIKATA: The Real Encounter in Okuizumo area]

Cancellations made before the application deadline are free of charge. Cancellations made after the application deadline up to the day before the tour will incur a cancellation fee of 5000 yen. Cancellations made on the day of the tour or no-shows will incur a cancellation fee of 10000 yen. To cancel your participation, please inform us via email or phone before the specified deadlines.
